Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, set up, and organize laboratory equipment, materials, and chemicals for experiments and practical sessions.
  • Assist teachers/faculty during laboratory classes, demonstrations, and student experiments.
  • Ensure proper storage, labeling, and disposal of chemicals, biological samples, and other laboratory materials.
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the laboratory at all times.
  • Calibrate, clean, and carry out minor repairs of laboratory instruments and equipment.
  • Maintain inventory of lab supplies and request replenishments as needed.
  • Monitor and enforce health & safety standards, ensuring students follow laboratory rules.
  • Support in recording data, preparing experiment sheets, and maintaining lab records.
  • Assist in setting up exhibitions, science fairs, and related events.
  • Report damages, breakages, or potential hazards to the concerned authority.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in Science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology, or related field).
  • Prior experience as a lab assistant/technician preferred.
  • Knowledge of laboratory equipment, chemicals, and safety procedures.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Good communication skills to assist students and staff.
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions precisely.
