Job Description

As an Associate Analyst I, you will play a key role in detecting and preventing financial crime. You will assist banks and non-bank institutions by conducting in-depth monitoring, reviewing client files, and identifying unusual financial activities.

Your work will involve:
✔ Conducting KYC procedures
✔ Monitoring moderate-to-complex account activity
✔ Ensuring compliance with regulatory and operational policies
Researching and analyzing data sources
✔ Writing summaries, recommendations, and conclusions

The role requires discretion, independent judgment, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.


Primary Responsibilities

???? Transaction & Risk Monitoring

  • Assess and evaluate suspicious financial activities.
  • Monitor transactions for money laundering, terrorist financing, fraud, and sanctions violations.
  • Identify red flags and data anomalies and escalate as needed.

???? Know Your Customer (KYC) Procedures

  • Verify customer identities to understand their relationship with financial institutions.
  • Review and interpret client-operating policies on financial data.

???? Compliance & Reporting

  • Ensure adherence to federal and state AML regulations, company policies, and client requirements.
  • Submit written reports for AMLRS quality control review and incorporate feedback.
  • Maintain accuracy and complete assignments within deadlines.

???? Team Collaboration & Process Improvement

  • Work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and influence change.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Education & Experience:

Associate's Degree required
✔ Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills

Technical Skills:

✔ Proficiency in Microsoft Word & Excel
✔ Ability to quickly learn new technologies

Soft Skills:

✔ Strong oral & written communication skills
✔ Ability to multitask, work independently, and build cooperative relationships

Preferred Qualifications:

Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to manage change fluidly
Highly collaborative and able to express ideas effectively
