Job Objective

To ensure the safe dispensing of medications, accurate patient counselling, error-free billing, and effective stock management in accordance with regulatory and organizational standards.

Key Responsibilities

Review and interpret prescription orders as prescribed by clinicians.
Prepare and dispense medications accurately.
Counsel patients on:
- Safe and effective use of medications.
- Potential side effects and drug interactions.
Manage billing and cash:
- Prepare bills.
- Handle cash at the billing counter.
- Submit daily cash scroll to the finance department.
Cross-check medicines issued with the bill:
- Verify patient name, item names, quantity, and expiry.
- Acknowledge and verify accuracy.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medication records, including:
- Adverse drug reactions.
- Scanned copies of prescriptions and bills (especially for high-risk medications).
Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Manage inventory:
- Maintain adequate stock based on daily consumption.
- Verify stock for expired items.
- Update stock levels and inform reporting authorities daily.
Ensure compliance with audit requirements.
Adhere to quality service standards and comply with internal procedures, rules, and regulations.
Report discrepancies to the Reporting Manager.
Perform other duties assigned by the Reporting Manager or Management.
