Job Summary

The Assistant Manager - Marketing is responsible for executing the marketing plan, achieving sales targets, overseeing marketing executives, and driving customer acquisition and engagement. This role includes planning and executing ATL, BTL, and digital campaigns, managing local branding activities, and ensuring the effectiveness of marketing strategies.


Key Responsibilities

Marketing Planning & Strategy

  • Assist in creating the business development plan for the assigned store in consultation with the MHQ Marketing team.
  • Set individual business development targets for marketing executives and ensure the achievement of overall targets.

Sales & Customer Acquisition

  • Responsible for achieving sales targets and generating revenue through the Marketing Team.
  • Supervise Marketing Executives, provide motivation, and train them to meet sales goals.
  • Drive new customer acquisition by coordinating with the Marketing and Sales team.
  • Conduct follow-ups with potential customers (DNF Data, wedding agencies, event management, beauty salons, etc.) to generate leads.
  • Collect and verify marketing staff reports by cross-checking their leads and follow-ups.
  • Invite potential customers for store visits, exhibitions, and promotional events.
  • Track Marketing Executives' movements via GPS and ensure all client visits are logged in the CRM.
  • Visit high-net-worth customers to encourage them to purchase from Malabar Gold & Diamonds.
  • Review leads from different sources and update showroom heads accordingly.
  • Assist in verifying eligibility for CSR initiatives and charitable schemes.

Marketing Execution & Brand Positioning

  • Understand and coordinate the creative requirements of the store with the Visual Merchandising team.
  • Supervise and execute ATL, BTL, and digital marketing campaigns at the store level.
  • Monitor hoardings and branding activities, ensuring timely updates and replacements if needed.
  • Analyze competitor marketing strategies and report insights to superiors.
  • Oversee online reputation management by monitoring reviews, comments, and social media interactions.
  • Organize and coordinate regional and store-level events, campaigns, and exhibitions.
  • Measure and ensure the effectiveness of community marketing initiatives.

Internal Process & Reporting

  • Generate marketing MIS reports to track market trends, expenses, and campaign effectiveness.
  • Analyze call center reports to assess customer feedback and improve engagement strategies.

People Development & Training

  • Identify training needs for the marketing team and coordinate with L&D for upskilling.
  • Ensure the completion of mandatory training programs for self and team.
  • Foster a performance-driven culture through regular monitoring, reviews, and feedback.
