Job Purpose

Accelya offers an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to become part of our geographically diverse team that supports one of the leading global software infrastructures in the airline industry.

As an Engineer II - Storage and Data Security, you will play a key role in supporting and maturing our on-prem and cloud enterprise storage and data security strategies. You will also assist in developing and documenting solutions, standards, and operational processes, and mentor junior engineers.

Responsibilities

Maintain effective data security strategies and controls to protect sensitive and confidential information from unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction.
Demonstrate exceptional problem-solving skills, strong communication abilities, and a positive, results-driven attitude.
Organize and manage storage based on business needs.
Diagnose performance and network-related issues.
Provide proactive support for enterprise storage and backup solutions, ensuring all monitoring, alerting, and security protocols are maintained.
Participate in a rotating on-call schedule for off-hours critical storage and data security escalations.
Document and maintain backup, replication, and archival procedures in alignment with global commitments.
Provide daily support for storage and data security environments.

Required Qualifications

Experience in safeguarding roles within VMware Cloud on AWS.
Experience in automating the management and monitoring of storage and backup systems.
5+ years of hands-on experience with current backup technologies such as Rubrik, Veeam, or Cohesity.
Experience with cloud and tape-based archival technologies, standards, and best practices.
10+ years of experience and in-depth understanding of storage technologies including PureStorage, NetApp, Dell/EMC VMAX, VNX, Unity, QNAP, Synology, and DataDomain.
Strong knowledge of storage-related networking protocols and technologies (e.g., SAN, NAS, Block, NFS, SMB).
Experience with Brocade SAN fabric management.
Experience with boot from SAN.
Familiarity with migration tools such as Datadobi.
