Job Overview:

We are looking for talented engineers and problem-solvers, not just developers. As a Software Engineer at Phonon, you will contribute to the development, deployment, and delivery of our automation solutions. You will design and code systems and applications, handling everything from UMLs and prototypes to large-scale implementation.

Key Responsibilities:

Development & Design:

Design, develop, and deploy high-quality solutions.
Work across the entire product lifecycle, including UMLs, models, and documentation.
Ensure code is optimized for performance, scalability, and reliability.

Automation:

Automate delivery processes to ensure consistent, smooth deployment in various environments.
Implement automated testing and ensure code quality through unit tests and other checks.

Problem Solving:

Address complex issues and ensure edge cases and corner cases are handled in every solution.
Continuously improve the system architecture and coding practices to enhance performance and maintainability.

Desired Skills & Expertise:

Programming & Scripting:

Proficiency in Shell/Scripting, J2EE, React, Kotlin, Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring Security), SQL, PL/SQL, Node.js.

Database & Business Intelligence:

Experience with MSSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, PL/SQL, Mongo Compass.
Expertise in Python for scripting and MongoDB for data storage.
Knowledge of data visualization tools.

Messaging & Communication Protocols:

Familiarity with FreeSwitch, Reference Dialplans, APIs for business messaging (WhatsApp, SMS, Wire, Facebook Messenger).
Experience with communication protocols such as SIP, WireShark, WebRTC, SMPP, FTP, HTTP, Web Services, SOAP, gRPC.

Cloud & Automation Tools:

Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud (SNS, SES, EC2, S3, etc.).
Experience with tools like Kibana, Kubernetes, Docker, Chef, Ansible for cloud automation.

Logging & Monitoring:

Proficiency with log management tools such as LogStash and JStack.
Familiarity with web servers and content delivery services such as httpd, NGINX, Tomcat.

Educational Requirements:

B.E., B.Tech, or BCA in a relevant field.
