Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer to join our latency-critical trading infrastructure team in our Bangalore office. As part of our global team of network engineers across AMER, EMEA, and APAC, you will play a key role in the architecture, design, deployment, and support of high-performance global trading networks. These networks require exceptional uptime and leverage cutting-edge technologies.

The role focuses on designing, implementing, and operating network solutions in datacenters (co-located and remote) worldwide, with an emphasis on market data and order entry.

Principal Responsibilities

1. Senior Engineering Role

Specialize in low-latency network technologies.
Balance project management and operational tasks in a low-latency trading environment (market data, trading, and co-location design).

2. Project Management

Lead and own global network projects from start to finish, including:
- Requirement gathering
- Network design
- Cost analysis
- Implementation

3. Innovation Leadership

Research and introduce new network technologies to enhance performance, including:
- RF technologies
- Low-latency transport
- Routing/switching
- Compute technologies

4. Network Configuration & Support

Configure, install, maintain, and support critical network software and hardware components.
Research, price, and implement data circuits.
Design and implement high-availability, low-latency market data networks.

5. High-Precision Timing

Implement and maintain high-precision timing protocols such as:
- PTP (Precision Time Protocol)
- PPS (Pulse Per Second)

6. Network Infrastructure Management

Deploy, support, and troubleshoot network infrastructure.
Document IT infrastructure, policies, and procedures.
Provide general user support.
Participate in after-hours work and on-call rotations.

Qualifications & Skills Required

Technical Expertise

✅ Low Latency Network Technologies:

Expertise in Multicast (IGMP, PIM), L2/L3, and WAN Design.
Deep knowledge of routing technologies.

✅ Data Capture & Timestamping:

Experience setting up data capture, timestamping, and aggregation configurations.

✅ Hardware & Software Expertise:

Minimum 10 years of experience in network engineering, operations, and support.
Hands-on experience with Arista, Cisco, and Layer 1 switches.
Knowledge of FPGA and high-performance computing technology is a plus.

✅ Network Protocols & Automation:

Expert knowledge and troubleshooting of IP networking and TCP/IP.
Scripting & Automation:
- Experience with Python and Bash scripting to automate tasks.
- Strong Linux shell experience.
