We are looking for a Posit Support Engineer to drive innovation and efficiency by enabling data-driven decision-making, accelerating drug discovery, and enhancing regulatory compliance.

This role involves designing, implementing, and updating Kubernetes cluster containers that host Posit Workbench (Python/R, RStudio, Jupyter, or VS Code sessions) and Posit Connect while ensuring platform troubleshooting and solutions assistance tailored for life sciences R&D.

Job Responsibilities

✔ Platform Development & Management

Design and deploy validated & non-validated container images for clinical and operational data analytics
Implement and maintain network configurations & storage clusters to ensure seamless connectivity to devices, file systems, and databases
Define and enforce security models for appropriate user access to containers

✔ Security & Compliance

Implement security controls, encryption mechanisms, and access management policies
Secure sensitive data from breaches, unauthorized access, and cyber threats

✔ Technical Support & Collaboration

Provide platform troubleshooting to ensure operational efficiency
Assist users in developing Python or R-based use cases
Document platform & container designs, technical specifications, and operational procedures

✔ Innovation & Continuous Improvement

Stay updated on emerging technologies and best practices in clinical-themed open-source data science
Identify opportunities for process automation and efficiency enhancements
Align engineering solutions with business goals & objectives

Qualifications

Required

???? Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field

???? Experience:

3-5 years of experience in data architecture, engineering, or related roles within the healthcare industry
Expertise in programming languages: SQL, SAS, Python, or R
Proficiency in databases & data warehousing technologies, such as:
- SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, AWS Redshift, Azure Synapse, Google BigQuery
Strong background in BI and analytics platforms
Experience collaborating with business & IS stakeholders to optimize Data & Analytics environments
Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
Time management capabilities to meet deadlines successfully
Commitment to staying updated on latest trends and technologies in data & analytics
Relevant certifications in data and analytics tools/platforms are an advantage

Preferred

✅ Experience in the Life Sciences / Pharma industry
✅ Advanced Analytics Experience
✅ Agile Champion:

Strong adherence to DevOps principles
Proven track record in CI/CD pipelines for continuous delivery
