Job Title: AWS DevOps Specialist

Location: Hyderabad, Telangana (Hybrid Work)
Experience: 2-4 years in AWS Cloud, DevSecOps, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

Job Overview:

The AWS DevOps Specialist will design, deploy, and manage advanced cloud-based solutions on AWS. This role requires an experienced developer with a strong background in AWS cloud management, DevSecOps, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC). The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years of hands-on experience and will be skilled in implementing and managing AWS networking components, security practices, and CI/CD pipelines. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

AWS Cloud Management:

Design, deploy, and manage scalable and secure AWS cloud systems.
Implement and manage AWS networking components including virtual networks, peering, firewalling, private endpoints, and DNS.

Security and DevSecOps:

Integrate security practices into the DevOps lifecycle to ensure secure application and system deployment.
Implement and manage security controls such as Role-Based Access Control (RBAC).

Governance:

Implement AWS policies as code at scale.
Manage AWS policy tasks and exceptions.

AWS Well-Architected Framework:

Understand the principles and best practices of the AWS Well-Architected Framework and related AWS architecture designs.

CI/CD Pipelines and IaC:

Proficient with Git for managing repositories, merging, resolving conflicts, and handling pull requests.
Develop and manage IaC CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and other CI/CD tools.
Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) primarily using Terraform.
Refactor Terraform based on best practices.

Automation and Scripting:

Develop scripts and automation tools to improve operational efficiency.

Monitoring and ITSM Integration:

Set up and manage monitoring and alerting systems using AWS CloudTrail.
Integrate with IT Service Management (ITSM) tools for streamlined incident and issue management processes.

Scripting Languages:

Proficiency in Python.

Preferred Certifications:

AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner
AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate
AWS Certified Developer – Associate
AWS Certified Security – Specialty

Required Skills & Experience:

2-4 years of experience in IT operations, focusing on AWS cloud services, security, and DevOps/DevSecOps.
In-depth knowledge of AWS services and best practices.
Solid understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices and GitHub for source control and CI/CD using GitHub Actions.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Educational Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
