Position Overview:

As an AWS DevOps Specialist, you will design, deploy, and manage advanced cloud-based solutions on AWS. This role demands a deep understanding of AWS cloud management, DevSecOps practices, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC). Ideal candidates will have 2-4 years of relevant experience, with a strong command of AWS components, security practices, and CI/CD pipelines. Excellent communication and teamwork skills are essential.


Key Responsibilities:

AWS Cloud Management:

  • Design, deploy, and manage scalable and secure AWS cloud infrastructures.
  • Implement and manage AWS networking components such as Virtual Private Clouds (VPCs), peerings, firewalls, private endpoints, and DNS.

Security and DevSecOps:

  • Integrate security practices within the DevOps lifecycle to ensure secure application and infrastructure deployment.
  • Implement and manage security controls including Role-Based Access Control (RBAC).

Governance and Policy Management:

  • Implement AWS policies using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) at scale.
  • Manage AWS policy tasks and exceptions.

AWS Well-Architected Framework:

  • Apply the principles and best practices of the AWS Well-Architected Framework to ensure cloud architecture is secure, reliable, and scalable.

CI/CD Pipelines and IaC:

  • Work with Git and GitHub to manage repositories, handle merges, resolve conflicts, and process pull requests.
  • Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and other CI/CD tools.
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC), primarily using Terraform.
  • Troubleshoot and refactor Terraform configurations based on best practices.

Automation and Scripting:

  • Develop scripts and automation tools to improve operational efficiency.

Monitoring and ITSM Integration:

  • Set up and manage monitoring and alerting systems using AWS CloudTrail.
  • Integrate with IT Service Management (ITSM) tools for streamlined incident and issue management.

Preferred Certifications:

  • AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate
  • AWS Certified Developer – Associate
  • AWS Certified Security Specialty

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience:

    • 2-4 years of IT operations experience, with a focus on AWS cloud services, security, and DevOps/DevSecOps.
    • In-depth knowledge of AWS services and best practices.
    • Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices and using GitHub for source control and GitHub Actions for CI/CD.
    • Excellent problem-solving abilities and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
    • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Technical Skills:

    • Proficiency with AWS cloud services, including VPCs, EC2, IAM, and more.
    • Expertise in Python scripting for automation.
    • Familiarity with Terraform for IaC.
    • Experience with Git/GitHub and managing CI/CD pipelines.
  • Education:

    • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Work Environment:

  • Hybrid Work Model: Employees are expected to work in-person three days per week, with the flexibility to choose days and times that align with both individual and project needs. This can be at the Credera office, client sites, or off-site locations.
