Disney is seeking an experienced and strategic Associate Vice President (AVP) of HR and Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) to lead the company’s talent management strategy. This executive leadership role will oversee all aspects of HR functions, including organizational development, talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, compensation and benefits, learning and development, and workforce planning. The AVP/CHRO will work closely with senior leadership to align HR strategies with business goals, ensuring Disney remains an employer of choice and fosters a culture of growth and innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement HR strategies that support organizational growth, aligning human resources initiatives with Disney’s long-term business goals.
  • Talent Acquisition and Retention: Lead efforts to attract, retain, and develop top talent across all levels of the organization, ensuring the recruitment process is efficient, inclusive, and aligned with business needs.
  • Employee Relations: Foster a positive, collaborative work environment by managing employee relations, addressing concerns, and resolving conflicts fairly and consistently.
  • Performance Management: Oversee the performance management system, ensuring it supports continuous employee development, goal-setting, and regular performance reviews.
  • Compensation and Benefits: Supervise the development of competitive compensation and benefits programs that attract and retain talent while managing costs effectively.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure HR policies and practices comply with local and national labor laws and regulations, minimizing legal risks.
  • HR Technology Integration: Oversee the implementation and improvement of HR technology systems to ensure efficiency and effectiveness in HR operations.
  • Leadership Development: Plan and execute leadership development programs to nurture strong leadership pipelines within the organization.
  • Cultural Development: Champion Disney’s organizational culture, ensuring it reflects the company’s core values and is continuously reinforced through HR initiatives.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • SHRM-SCP, SPHR, or equivalent professional certification preferred.
  • Extensive experience in HR leadership roles, with at least 10 years of progressive experience in HR positions of increasing responsibility.
  • Deep understanding of HR best practices, labor laws, compliance requirements, and talent management strategies.
  • Proven success in developing and executing HR strategies that drive business performance.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data to make informed decisions.
  • High level of emotional intelligence and ability to manage sensitive situations with discretion.

Experience:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in a senior HR role, ideally within a large, fast-paced organization.
  • Demonstrated success in managing and leading HR teams, particularly in complex and high-growth environments.
  • Proven experience in talent management, compensation, benefits, employee relations, organizational development, and workforce planning.
  • Experience leading change management initiatives and building flexible HR processes.
  • Familiarity with HRIS systems and data analysis tools to support HR decision-making and initiatives.

Working Hours:

  • Full-time position, 40 hours per week.
  • Flexible working arrangements, with occasional travel for leadership meetings and conferences.
