Amazon is seeking a dedicated and experienced Human Resource Office Manager (Transportation) to oversee and manage the HR functions for our dynamic transportation operations. This position requires a highly organized and proactive individual to handle day-to-day HR tasks, ensure compliance with labor laws, assist with recruitment, employee relations, and enhance employee engagement. You will be responsible for creating a positive work environment, improving operational efficiency, and supporting the growth of the workforce within Amazon's transportation division.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily operations of the HR department, providing effective HR services and support to employees.
- Oversee the recruitment and hiring process, from job posting to the onboarding of new employees.
- Administer employee benefits, payroll, and leave programs, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of HR-related documentation, including contracts, performance appraisals, and disciplinary actions.
- Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with organizational goals and industry best practices in transportation.
- Address employee concerns and resolve conflicts in a timely and professional manner.
- Lead employee performance reviews and provide constructive feedback for career development.
- Manage employee training and development programs to enhance skills and support career growth.
- Monitor HR compliance with local, state, and federal labor laws and regulations.
- Maintain and update employee records in the Human Resource Information System (HRIS).
- Prepare and submit HR-related reports to senior management as needed.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience in HR management, ideally in a transportation or logistics organization.
- Knowledge of labor laws, employee relations, and HR best practices.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with employees at all levels.
- Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in HR management or a related HR field.
- Experience working in the transportation, logistics, or manufacturing industry is highly preferred.
- Relevant experience managing employee relations, recruitment, and HR policies and procedures.
- Experience with HR software and tools is highly desirable.
Working Hours:
- Full-time position, typically Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
- Flexibility in working hours may be required based on operational needs.
- Occasional overtime may be needed during peak seasons or to meet urgent HR requirements.
