S&P Global Commodity Insights is offering a 10-week internship within its Energy Transition Consulting team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to projects that focus on sustainability, emissions reduction, ESG strategies, and energy policy advisory.
The Energy Advisory Services team provides strategic, market, and technical guidance to leading energy companies, investors, and governments. The Energy Transition Consulting group acts as a trusted advisor across traditional and emerging energy sectors, helping clients navigate the complexities of the global energy transition.
As an intern, you will play a critical role in supporting project delivery by:
Analyzing and synthesizing data
Supporting client decision-making through research and insights
Working alongside consultants on real client projects
Gather, identify, and synthesize data from internal and external sources
Build and support analytical Excel models for client projects
Collaborate with project teams and report to project managers
Attend client interviews/industry conferences and extract key insights
Assist in preparing presentations and reports for client delivery
Current penultimate-year student, graduating in 2026
Background in engineering (petroleum, chemical, environmental, or process preferred)
Interest in finance, economics, business, energy, and sustainability
Detail-oriented with strong analytical and numerical skills
Strong time management and multitasking ability
Proficient in Microsoft Office and web research
Team player with a curious and professional mindset
Availability to work 3–4 days a week from the Gurgaon office
